About Hannah's Life
As a child, I always had a soft spot for my homeless neighbors. My father told me I would cry any time we walked past someone on the street without giving them money, even if we already had. He started carrying around a bag full of quarters to allow me to give something to everyone, every time. I knew I would continue my passion for helping as an adult, but I never knew I could make it into a career!
When I discovered the field of Social Work, I knew it would be the perfect fit. I immediately switched my college major away from Psychology and into Social Work, and I never looked back. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
Now, I work at a nonprofit that shelters homeless families and helps them find permanent housing. Every day I wake up happy to go to work and feel fulfilled when my day is over. I absolutely LOVE my job.
I decided to start this blog to share my experience as a new social worker and connect with others, and maybe share a little of my personal life as well. I hope you join me on this ride!
